Lost power for a bit tonight after a drunk driver took did some damage on the busy street by my house so I decided to grab a pen and fill some white paper.

All are drawn with one of those lame bic pens you get in bulk bags for $3,- that's all I could find in the dark.

Annnd the super toony doodle near the middle was inspired by Nanook's work. She's really gotten me into wanting to try it more.

Everything else is lame. Anatomy practice, doodle of a Gator/German Shepard character I was developing a few months ago, a lazy Orca, some human practice and a shark that apparently likes Poop D*cks.

Thar be Dragons

I finished up Two icon commissions for a gal named "Byzil". I really had fun with these as I've not drawn dragons very much in the past and have always been somewhat of a weak point in my art.

The interesting aspect of these icons is the style I used to color them; I'd never really used "Gradient Shading" before, but ever since I'd seen Evana do it back in 06, I'd always wanted to take a stab at it.

Overall, I like the look of it but I don't feel it favors my style all too much. I doubt I'll be using it anymore.

Also, for the curious, there's a recording I had taken of the beginning to end process.

More Collab work!

Today's Music:

Dropping by to post some artwork I've neglected to share.

First off, we have two new Collaborations between Angela and myself. In order to attend a local convention, we've teamed up and have decided to take on several commissions from private individuals. As usual, I've done the original sketch and she's given them amazing color jobs via Sai Paint Tool and Photoshop. Here's the latest two we're turned out.

This first one is a commission work of a character by the name of Ozwak. The commissioner was very excited about the end results and to be honest, I am too. Angela has a magical way of meshing our styles and this one happens to be my favorite of the ones we completed thus far.

Here we have a headshot of the character FoxTrack. The commissioner gave us a little bit of fun in asking us to adapt his character into the outfit of a Engineer from the PC game "Team Fortress 2" (which I will add is an amazingly fun game that I strongly recommend.)

This one presented more of a challenge for me considering I'm still very new to the avian facial structure and the addition of the helmet and goggles did throw me off slightly.

That's all for the collaboration artwork, onto the stuff I've done on my own:

Last but not least is the finished icon commission of a personal character named Westly. The commissioner was very specific about the details of this image, so I had to explore some unusual angles on the human skull. I can't say I'm entirely pleased with the finished product, but the commissioner loved it and that's all that mattered. I admittedly was rather lazy on the details of this image such as the desk and computer but I can get away with it since it's going to be used as a 100x100px icon, haha.

That's all for now folks, and thanks for reading.

Collab art!

Hey there everyone, long time no post!

Just dropping by to show off some work that I've been doing with local artist and friend by the name of Anjila.

I draw the actual image and she uses her amazing talent to bring some life into the work by adding some color C:

And here's a commission we finished today:

Little art post

Haha, I've already failed epically at updating daily.

Anyways, to make up for my absence, have some fanart.

For some reason, I've been in a nostalgic mood...you know bringing back all the stuff your grew up with and what not. The character drawn above is actually from the series "Digimon Zero Two". I actually think it was my first "anime" and it was a major deal when I was growing up. I'm not really sure why I adored that show, but I did. Ken (the human character above) was always my favorite so for whatever reason, I decided to doodle him.

I hate feeling old.

Update on the PatchTogether Fox

Today's Music

I haven't really put much time into this to be completely honest, but I think I've got the basic style down that I want to use for the actual design. I think I'll actually find time to finish the front view tonight.

Possible idea for Patch Together

First of all, have some lovely music.

Next up, I'm thinking of putting together a design for Patch Together but I'm afraid that my lack of popularity wouldn't bring me enough votes/preorders to get the item made.

For the actual design, I'm thinking something along the lines of a Kabuki style Kitsune. I threw together a rough sketch that I thought I'd share with everyone to try and get some input. The overall design idea is to have the fox standing on a log so I have the freedom to stylize the character without fear that it wouldn't stand up. Anyways, keep in mind this is still a very rough sketch.

Any input is welcome C:

I'm basing the face markings on traditional kabuki face paint designs like these in addition to examples of Kistune Masks I've seen in portions of little Tokyo on trips to L.A.

I'm really hoping I can put an ascetically pleasing character that doesn't go as far to resemble Amaterasu from the Okami games.

New Art dump!

Hey everyone, just dumping a few things here for the sake of actually sharing them. Mostly posting here to show that I -do- actually still draw from time to time XD

Drew this tonight...rather this morning. Was attempting to try a more realistic facial structure while still retaining a toony looks and feel. Not sure what I think about it as it is 5am now.

An experiment in Oekaki since I haven't touched them in a long time. Decided to go ahead and use Shi Painter Pro. I actually am a bit pleased with the results.

This one was a quickie sketch of a sergal, one of the nifty creatures created by Trancy Mick.

This was going to be a gift sketch for Anjila, but I never got around to doing anything with it.

When I was ustreaming one night, I offered a few requests and this seemed to be the only one I liked enough to toss some color on. I decided to keep the sketch layer intact simply because I thought it gave the doodle a little more character in the end.

I recently started playing Ragnarok Online with Rakko over on RebirthRO.com and I have to say, it's actually a rather fun game. I always find myself playing when I should be doing something constructive..eh. In an attempt to remedy this, I decided to enter the server's loading screen contest. I essentially play as Theo minus the crazy marking/hair colors XD Paladin characters are love.

A little bit of giftart for someone on one of the Oekaki sites I belong to. Not sure what her character is, but it's adorable and I decided I needed to draw it.

The sketch work on an icon commissioned from someone on Livejournal. Going to be finishing this up soon. Not sure if I like how the angle turned out, but I'm still trying my damnedest to improve the way I draw human based characters.

This one was more or less a test on male anatomy and thicker builds. Generally, I have this tendency to draw skinny, effeminate men unintentionally so I decided to kill two birds with one stone and attempt a remake of this. I don't really plan on finishing this, but for the sake of showing I at least attempted a different body structure, I'm sharing this with you.

And last sketch for now, my Sabertooth character Sabbeo. I decided to goof around with his design and give him some pudge for the sake of saying I can draw more varied body types. Also wanted to mess around with expressions, and as you can see he's not all too excited about the situation.
